Renewable Energy – Following The Money: Generating Radio and TV Interviews

The PR company I’ve engaged to generate radio and TV interviews kicked off today, with an email blast to a huge number of producers, directors, journalists, etc. with the subject line “Renewable Energy – Following The Money – It Will Be Interesting To See Where It Takes Us…”  These guys (Ascot Media Group) are really good at this, btw; I already have 8 – 10 responses.

Some are direct requests for interviews, which, of course, is what I like to see. But they all have some value in the form of conversations that could lead somewhere, like this one: “Where does Mr. Shields stand when it comes to hydropower? Does he consider it renewable? Is hydro discussed in his book?”

My response:  Yes, hydro is renewable.  Hydro-electric dams have ecologic issues but “renewability” isn’t one of them.  Of course, now we favor OTEC, ocean current, tidal, wave, and run-of-river.   Hydro is mentioned in the book in a few places, but it isn’t a central theme.  It was, however, an entire chapter of my first book, Renewable Energy – Facts and Fantasies, a free e-copy of which is linked above.  Would you like to speak further?
