Good Ideas in Clean Energy May Be Right In Front of Our Faces

Readers in Nebraska or Kazakhstan may not understand what I’m about to present,  but those of us who live near oceans have noticed that there is a new device for owners of tennis ball-fetching dogs to use on the beach (pictured here). Even little old ladies can nonchalantly hurl the ball a couple dozen yards with the flick of an arthritic wrist.  The device is a simple piece of plastic, the idea for which, of course, was right under our noses all the time; we just happened not to see it.

Here’s an even greater story of ideas we missed until recently.  Younger readers may not know that the concept of attaching wheels to our luggage is only about 10 years old.  Yep, we had luggage for the last couple thousand years, and we had wheels for 10 times longer, but, well into the 21st Century, we were still dragging our luggage around, often quite painfully, carrying the entire weight with our arms and fingers.

You can see where I’m going with this.  It seems incredibly likely that we’re sitting on a considerable number of good ideas in the energy sector that we simply haven’t yet twigged upon.  And that’s the joy of 2GreenEnergy, which aspires to be a repository for good ideas in clean energy, the responsibility for which I happily share with our numerous supporters.  Thanks for being one of them.
