Cleantech Investment: Vast Fuel Savings for Class 8 Trucks

Here in the United States, we burn approximately 28 billion gallons of diesel per year, the equivalent of 42,000 Olympic-size swimming pools; this is 31% of the world’s total, and results in the emission of 311 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere (not to mention an array of different toxins).  What if there were a quick and easy way to get rid of one-third of this horrific byproduct of trucking our cargo around?

Let me introduce a guy I’ve known for a few years now – someone for whom I have the utmost respect: John Petersen.  Those who read John’s columns on the transportation industry, which I’ve mentioned several times over the years,  may be surprised to know that his current business interest is a company that has developed a hybrid electric drivetrain for Class 8 trucks.  It’s been shown to create huge improvements in fuel mileage.

If you’re an accredited investor and you’re interested in knowing more, please let me know and I’ll put you in touch.  More here.

Craig, I wouldn’t mind if you would put a few of those accredited investors in touch with me while you’re at it.

Here is a notice I’ve been posting on LinkedIn lately.

STRATEGIC ALLIANCE OR INVESTMENT NEEDED FOR LATE STAGE NEW CONCEPT REPOWERING TECH 6 MONTHS FROM MARKET ENTRY.

Greetings, I would like to introduce Advanced Alternative Energy Corp. (AAEC) of Lawrence Kansas.

AAEC has developed scalable alternative/renewable energy technology solutions that I believe could be very useful in both the United States and other countries.as they try to come to grips with their energy and environmental problems in such a way so as to boost rather than harm the economy.

AAEC’s new concept energy efficiency and energy production technology is designed to serve as a core technology for home, village, business or county scale alternative energy production systems and energy efficiency improvements across the American landscape and around the world. AAEC’s novel new concept technology consists of a novel new fuel combustion and gasification-conversion technology that is designed to provide an on demand heat and power source for various stand-alone uses or to back up solar and wind energy systems; and in this way help double the deployment of both solar and wind energy projects. It can also supply liquid or gaseous biofuels such as clean renewable 3rd. generation cellulosic fuels or hydrogen and methane when appropriate back end technology is applied. Therefore it can stay viable even if/when we move into the hydrogen economy.

At AAEC we believe humanity needs to repower human activities with much cleaner energy on a grand scale, and that innovation is key to a better future and that we aspire to offer homeowners, businesses, towns, cities, counties and utilities our innovative new concept low-budget, low-carbon pathway to greater energy efficiency, energy security, cleaner energy and economic development. And now that President Obama has decided on moving the climate issue forward to the front burner I’m highly confident this will be a big boost to what we are offering.

AAEC’s product lines could be manufactured in any locality on any continent for the local and regional market, which we believe could create many licensing opportunities, and new jobs and this is one of several points we would like to discuss with investors, potential alliance partners or collaboration partners, and then of course offer AAEC’s technology to an ever more alternative energy hungry world – and I have a location in mind where I would like to begin the manufacture of these lines of products for marketing in the US.

    Craig,

Oh how I dislike the term ‘accredited investor’. Perhaps it is just envy but why should those of us ‘non-accredited’ be excluded from an opportunity such as this? Is there a crowdfunding way to get invested in this company?

Anyone who studies Axion Power (AXPW) and/or follows John Peterson knows that he has recently been hired as executive VP and CFO by ePower Engine Systems. Although much road testing is needed to prove their product, I am a believer in management and the work completed to date. The Axion proprietary lead-carbon battery is an integral component in the current design and as an AXPW shareholder I have a clear bias but would invest in epower for the same reasons I have invested in AXPW. I believe both companies have ‘game-changing’ technologies and management who can carry the ideas to market.

Both are clearly speculative investment opportunities and the type of vehicles I am hoping will ultimately vault me into the ‘accredited investor’ category.

    • The term ‘accredited investor’ is a big part of the SEC’s current strategy, in connection with its lifting its ban on ‘general solicitation’ to keep little old ladies from getting ripped off by shysters.

Coincidentally, I have a crowd-funding solution that I’ll be talking to John about soon. If he accepts it, I’ll let you know.

In addition to making trucks more fuel-efficient, perhaps we should consider whether so many items really need to be trucked around. What about bottled water? Does it really make sense to ship bottled water from continent to continent then truck it to warehouses and stores?

Probably there are also other items that we really don’t need.
