Florida Lags in Renewable Energy, And Here’s Why

Florida Lags in Renewable Energy, And Here’s WhyFrank from Florida writes:  Hi Craig, Yes, the Department of Energy is doing wonderful things.  Here I am sitting in a state, where it has been said time and time again how productive Florida would be with solar, and yet I’m reading about Dairy Land utility projects installing over 2.5 MW of solar in Wisconsin!  In the next two years Dairy Land will be putting together a number of community solar projects. Wisconsin? Really?

You’re right; Florida needs to get on the stick.  You have a terrible governor, though; Rick Scott actively suppresses renewable energy in favor of fossil fuels.  He’s simply a loathsome human being. The fact that all this is so clearly about the huge contributions from Big Energy (see linked article in the Miami Herald) makes him that much more despicable.

There are countries in which government criminals like Scott are simply taken out behind a building and shot.  I’m a man of peace, but I find it hard to blame them.

Hmmm, we are learning that regime change of a corrupt dictatorship often leads to a terrorist organization taking over.
