Where is the U.S. on the two most critical issues facing our civilization?

Climate change: Congress rejects the agreements reached among 155 countries in Paris a few months ago, broadcasting to the world that the most powerful nation on Earth has essentially no interest in mitigating the effects of global warming. 

Nuclear weapons proliferation: Instead of working towards world nuclear disarmament, the U.S. is investing $1 trillion to modernize and expand its doomsday arsenal.

Well that’s hardly uplifting. Aren’t there any bright spots?  Yes, tons of them.
