People of All Ages Care about Environmental Responsibility

Fortunately for the outcome of our civilization, millennials have a far more progressive attitude than their parents and grandparents when it comes to environmental stewardship, climate change mitigation, and so forth.  Some believe that this is a natural consequence of the fact that old people are going to be dead soon, and thus will not have to suffer from the consequences of our egregious failure to clean up after ourselves. While I’m sure that this is at least partially true, I know many people my age and far older who are deeply committed to turning this mess around before it’s too late.

In any case, I thought I’d present what I believe to be the definitive piece of music on the subject of aging.  I had the good fortune to see the Cache Valley Drifters perform this lighthearted masterpiece at their farewell concert at the Live Oak Music Festival in 2014, where they had lit up the stage many times since their debut in 1979.
