Speaking Out Against Evil

Speaking Out Against Evil, Neutrality helps the oppressor, Eli WieselWe have a few readers here who regularly give me a hard time for being so venomous re: the things I perceive as evil.  They tell me, among other things, that it’s self-defeating because it tends to alienate people.

I can’t say that this is entirely false, but I can show you this quote that I just came across:  “Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ~Eli Wiesel

Good enough for me…..

  1. Silent Running says:

Craig that was well said , passiveness allows evil to grow and flourish.

I hae found that people who gt turned off by a strong statement that shatters a social myth or some Myth about a rich and powerful person, the establishment or a Hallowed Institution well they reject that anything that established can be wrong or hiding evil perhaps.
So it shatters them they clam and practice Avoidance and hide from the osurce of the Truth The flawed human condition at work….seems to be the way it is. Weak people cant take the Truth sorta Like Dracula if you show a Mirror of Truth to the Sheeple they tend to Freak out and have a Meltdown…etc.
