What Will and Will Not Happen Under a Clinton Presidency

What Will Happen Under a Clinton Presidency?A reader comments:   I’m waiting for one of you professional leftists to now deny the DNC’s role in voting fraud and inciting violence at Trump rallies…

I wouldn’t hold my breath. Progressives have only a little bit more regard for the Democratic Party than we do for the Republicans. We most certainly do not condone all, or even most, of the Dems’ actions.  In particular, even given a Hillary Clinton presidency, we will still have:

• Endless wars

• Mass detainment and deportations of immigrants

• Aggressive prosecution of whistle-blowers

• Inadequate response to the threat of climate change

• Enormous corruption from vested interests, especially the fossil fuel boys and the weapons industry

Correspondingly, we will not have:

• The return of our privacy

• A distancing of ourselves from suppressive regimes around the world

• Regulations that will prevent another financial meltdown

The only saving grace to the developments of this presidential campaign is that we will not be led by a sociopath.

I wonder if there is anyone out there who sincerely believes that this path is “good” for the country. Or for the people with access and a wider knowledge are they simply saying that it is better for them and somehow feel that the country will survive.

In Germany they ran an opinion pole asking the question, if you were able to vote in the US election, who would you vote for? Only 4% said they would choose Donald Trump!

Trump’s appeal is for a US demographic. Similarly, I saw video where UK actor was commenting that he couldn’t understand the vehemence with which some people hate Clinton. Again it is a US thing.

While it seems reasonably clear that more people don’t like their choices there is more history that allows the opinion for Clinton. The appeal or disdain for Clinton seems to be more measured compared to the favor or dislike for Trump. For Trump it is a series of snapshots or gut reactions.

Perhaps voters should focus on the congressional elections rather than become discouraged by the presidential choices.

Hmmm,…Clinton or Trump ? Now there a great argument for a Constitutional Monarchy as opposed to to an Executive Republic..:)
