Shell Oil Gets It

GettyImages-538540084Of the nearly 8000 posts here, there are at least a couple of dozen in which I’ve acknowledged that Royal Dutch Shell is the least obnoxious of the major oil companies.  They are fully onboard with anthropogenic climate change, they have a rock-solid understanding that our civilization is in the process of migrating away from fossil fuels, and they seem to have a sincere position in embracing, rather than repelling, this all-important change.

Shell’s recent purchase of New Motion (EV changing stations) is further evidence of all this.   It’s good to see some occasional rationality in an insane world.

    Craig,

I think you missed the bit where Exxon invented lithium batteries, and BP virtually pioneered Solar Energy. BP also pioneered expensive Solar Panel environmental disposal technology, which was driven off the market by cheap Chinese panel imports subsidized by
    the US taxpayer.

Obviously you didn’t notice that the only reason Geo-Thermal Technology survived was due to Chevron’s deep pockets and persistence ?

Shell’s PR may be better and more politically astute, but their deeds are just as commercial.
