What’s In the DNA of the Human Animal?

So many of the events of the day have us wondering about the very nature of humankind.  Are we creatures of  generosity or greed?  Compassion or brutality? Cooperation or competition? Me first or you too?

In short, what’s in our basic biology?  We know we evolved from lower life forms, but to become precisely what sort of beings?  What’s really in our DNA?
