Private Sector Not Waiting for a Push from Government To Adopt Renewable Energy

Depending on whom you ask, corporations generally can have a pretty nasty reputation when it comes to environmental stewardship.  And while no one doubts that this is well deserved in many cases, we tend to overlook the incredibly broad and powerful sustainability initiatives that big business has put in place over the last decade or so.

Perhaps the best and most consistent example of this is the adoption of clean energy; as shown here, many Fortune-sized companies are doing all they can to power their operations with renewables.  (GP = “green power”)
