Earth Might Be Warming, Pruitt Finally Admits, But Rising Temperatures Might Be Good for Humankind

7f0a3cc887aaba0f5f8a9210f3cbcd97a969861fe5498e1b8c51f361e6c7981cEPA administrator Scott Pruitt now says rising temperatures might be beneficial, and it would be “arrogant” to stop global warming.

Can someone please explain why anyone could possibly give a damn about this jackass’s viewpoints on climate change? Would you ask a pro baseball player or fashion model or a pastry chef? Then why would you ask a poli-sci major who works for the oil companies?

    Craig,

What must be considered is where a person lives. For a large majority of US states, and certainly for all people in Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, Southern Europe, Austrailia, Most of the Far East, all of Central America and most of South America… it would be a bad thing, resulting in a much worse lifestyle.

But it will be a huge boon for Russia.
    🙂

So, if you consider the fact that Pruitt doesn’t give one half of a damn about 90+% of Americans, and certainly doesn’t care about the 80% of the world population that lives in areas that are extremely vulnerable to climate change… But he DOES care a great deal about the future prosperity of Russia…

Then it sort of makes sense.

I would add that there is a great deal we don’t know about life in a world 5C hotter than this one, including new dread diseases that can come from microbes suddenly thawed for the first time in eons, or diseases we know about that are suddenly spread far and wide by insects that will thrive in hotter conditions.
