Andrew Wheeler, Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency

It’s been another banner day for the forces that seek to perpetuate coal and oil at the expense of the health and safety of every man, woman and child living on Earth, and all those yet to be born onto this planet in the future.  Coal industry lobbyist and front man for the fossil fuel industry Andrew Wheeler was confirmed today as the #2 person at the EPA.

Needless to say, Wheeler is a climate change denier.  He’ll be tasked with eliminating as many environmental regulations as possible in his tenure.

    Andrew Wheeler has served with great distinction as a Congressional staff leader,before accepting a John C. Stennis Congressional Staff Fellowship.

    As a lawyer, Wheeler specialized in environmental law, usually for fossil fuel companies and industry associations.

    Wheeler is no stranger to the EPA, During President Clinton’s administration, Andrew Wheeler was three times awarded the EPA’s Bronze Medal.

    He’s considered by even such publications as the National Journal and Atlantic as an environmental moderate. Senator Lieberman described Andrew Wheeler as a “man of integrity, fair minded and professional “.
