    Craig,

I hate to tell you this, but the US has always been derided and hated by certain sections of both the media and society in every other nation outside the US.

Curiously, President Trump who originally engendered a great deal of ridicule at the time of his election is beginning to receive grudging respect from foreign media outlets and political leaders.

An explanation may be foreign media is less concerned with US domestic political issues, and more concerned with the effects of the Trump administration’s policies abroad, especially economically.

Outside of the US the President’s character quirks are less significant and the media is less obsessed with petty scandals or the Mueller inquiry. Most other nations regard outage at the possibility Russia interfered in the US electoral process astonishing, given the US has spent the last 70 years interfering in the elections of nearly every other nation, friend and foe alike ! (sometimes violently).

I hope this is a warning to the western world of what happens when you allow one country to control your very existence !In military, currency trade & manufacturing we are at the mercy of this out of control president. The writing is on the wall and the long term lessons will be learned. We must start now to have an independent strategy where we
cannot be blackmailed by any nation !
