Clean Transportation Vs. States’ Rights–It’s Déjà Vu All Over Again

9The federal government is doing everything in its power to dismantle the environmental progress the U.S. has made in the last half century, but it’s facing stiff opposition from the more progressive states.

While we’re not expecting too much from Mississippi or Alabama, both California and New York were in today’s news on this subject. The former is suing the EPA against its attack that would remove the state’s legally established right to set its own auto fuel economy standards, a battle it will almost certainly win.  The latter, as discussed in this fabulous article, is doing a great job with its policies that are putting ever-growing numbers of electric vehicles on the road.

When the history of the environment is written, the Trump administration will be remembered for its ferocity in rolling back standards and being regarded as a gift from God to corporate polluters.  Yet, importantly, its only effect will be to have retarded progress for a few years.   Sadly, these are years we couldn’t afford to waste, but happily, these people will all be gone. Very soon.

Electric vehicles are eco-friendly, and i also recommend the bicycles, which can keep your fit while protect the environment at the same time.
