Good News for Transportation in Europe, and It’s Right Around the Corner

The electrification of transportation is a multifaceted project, including, at a minimum:

• OEM commitment to provide quality at an affordable price-point

• Consumer demand

• Government support to enhance that demand

• Some mechanism, perhaps a public/private partnership, to build out the charging infrastructure

Here’s good news about the first of the four: Fiat/Chrysler will be phasing out all diesel vehicles for sale in Europe, and will build only EVs for that part of the world.

   Craig,

   I wish all these “good news” stories were as true as the headlines boast !

   In reality, like Volvo/Geely, most of these ” new” EV’s are little more than very mild hybrids, some with just a larger car battery with a little energy recovery recharging capacity.

   We can but live in hope 🙂
