Holland Loves Bikes
In the U.S., we talk about encouraging the use of bicycles as a way to reduce VMT (vehicle miles traveled), but we do very little to actually encourage this transition. Here’s a short video that allows the viewer to compare and contrast this with The Netherlands, a country that has been taking the subject seriously for half a century, when they began designing entire towns and cities so as to make bicycling safe and easy.
Keep in mind that there actually are places on Earth where the people have a powerful and abiding commitment to environmental responsibility.

You often baffle me ! What on earth value is finding some small, completely nontransferable local circumstance consisting of ca combination of unrepeatable dynamics, including historical, as a sort of weirdly inapplicable ‘moral’ example ?
Snow Skiing is also a very environmental method of transport, but of dubious value in Florida !
