Environmental Protection Agency Under Attack

lmspill130eSince EPA administrator Scott Pruitt resigned in disgrace, the EPA hasn’t been in the news very much, as his replacement, Andrew Wheeler, though more effective in destroying the environment for the sake of profit, is an old hand at staying out of the limelight.

Not surprisingly, however, there are folks in Congress who are at least as dangerous to environmental regulation as anyone could possibly be at the helm of the EPA.  Here’s a story of the four congressional Republicans, beneficiaries of the fossil fuel industry in general and the Koch brothers in particular, who are on a tear to abolish the EPA entirely.

Bravo. A new level of assault against the health and safety of everyone living on Earth.

    Craig,

My goodness your outrage must be visceral !

A whole $28,000 dollar donation from from Chevron ! Not a lot in a $2 million dollar campaign. His opponent, Dr Jennifer Zimmerman ran a dismal campaign, but funded by some very curious sources including equally vested interests.

Four Members of Congress from 545 do not wield a lot of influence, not even in their own party.

Why shouldn’t commercial enterprises or individuals support those politicians with whom they agree?

Or is that liberty reserved only for enterprises and billionaires who support Democrat candidates ?
