Trump Tells It Like It Is

71891830_3111578572268509_880768470944317440_nThis cartoon sure made me laugh.

My theory is that rank and file Trump supporters know they’re not living any better as a result of anything the president has done (though perhaps some wouldn’t admit it).  They got a pittance from the tax cuts (largely offset by changes in tax law) that went overwhelmingly to the uber-rich, tariffs are driving up consumer prices, coal miners aren’t back to work, their cars will be getting fewer miles to the gallon while gasoline prices are rising, their children are in lousier schools, factories are closing as the manufacturing sector sputters, and jobs are still leaving the country for Mexico and Southeast Asia. Moreover, it must be exasperating watching the impeachment proceedings, while at the same time the president has become despised by everyone on Earth (except Erdogan, Assad, and Putin)–left, right, and center–over his treachery to the Kurds.

As suggested in the above, they are, in fact, in the process of getting eaten.  The pain functioning as lunch, however, is lessened by the satisfaction they receive of watching their man beat up on the underclass.

“The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the Axe, for the Axe was clever and convinced the Trees that because his handle was made of wood, he was one of them.” — Turkish proverb

    Craig,

What a funny little world you inhabit as you sit around your cracker barrel!

Your claims get more outlandish the longer you sit and fulminate.
Your claim, “The President has become despised by everyone on Earth (except Erdogan, Assad, and Putin)–left, right, and center–over his treachery to the Kurds”, is clearly absurd!

Turkey actually has a treaty with the USA, called NATO and a long history of military cooperation, or have you forgotten the 15,000 members of the Turkish brigade who fought alongside the U.S. 25th Infantry Division,in Korea?

losses for the Turkish Brigade were 721 killed in action, 2,111 wounded and 168 missing. United Nations Forces Commander in Chief,

General Douglas MacArthur, described the Turkish Brigade’s contribution thus: “The military situation in Korea is being followed with concern by the whole American public. But in these concerned days, the heroism shown by the Turks has given hope to the American nation”.

But none of that matters around the little world of the cracker barrel.

Nevermind about calling at least half of your fellow citizens “fools”, “sheep” and so inferior to you and the cracker barrel coterie.

Sadly, your little group of obsessives, have no solutions to offer, no vision, no practical remedies. (but then that’s also true of the herd of Democrat “would be” candidates.

Biden is now a casualty before even leaving the stating gate, faute de mieux, Warren is utterly unelectable, poor ol’ Saunders is stuck in a time warp, and Kamela Harris seems to have lost interest.

The rest are sort of why you expect on an ‘open mike’ comedy night.

Elisabeth Warren’s mean little lies, claiming she’s Native American to deprive some more deserving student an affirmative action place at college, lying about losing her teaching job because she was “visibly pregnant”, and the false accusations against a Ferguson Police officer, will make her unpopular.

    As will her mad policies.:

    1) Medicare for All and eliminating private health insurance
    2) Banning ban fracking for oil and natural gas.
    3) Decriminalizing illegal border crossing and making searching illegal migrants illegal.
    4) Providing health care for illegal migrants.
    5) Paying “reparations” to the descendants of slaves, regardless of how tiny a percentage of DNA.
    6) An unconstitutional ‘wealth tax’.
    7) Abolishing ICE.
