Your President Needs You: Doh!

When I met Dr. Steven Chu, then U.S. Secretary of Energy, at a conference a few years ago in Santa Barbara, someone standing near us asked him why he took the position.  “The President of the United States asked me to,” he replied.  We all smiled.  That made sense.

Now that several of the people who have served Trump are in prison or awaiting sentencing, the concept of doing something simply because the president asks you to seems like an exercise in pure masochism.

Even if I were a Trump supporter and in a position where I felt I could help him, if I were asked to get on board, common sense would force me to respond with something like, “Oh, I’m so sorry.  I’m just too busy with my lucrative tutoring career.”

Above we see Mick Mulvaney, and say to ourselves: Aha.  Maybe there’s a good reason that he suddenly refused to testify at the last minute.

    Craig,

Both Cohen and Manafort were convicted of offenses unrelated to the President and committed long before entering his service.

Flynn and George Papadopoulos are currently awaiting appeals which may see their prosecutors arrested and jailed!

Your hatred of the President seems to justify or makes you blind to the wrongdoing and corruption of his enemies. Why should anyone believe such biased narrative?
