China’s Schoolkids Beat American Students in All Academic Categories: Celebrating Our Failed Educational System
I often use this space to comment on the probable trajectory that the U.S. is likely to take in global competitiveness over the coming decades. And, though I normally look at this from a number of different perspectives, the meme here really says it all.
We’re not even making an effort to look beyond the end of next week as far as this country’s future is concerned. Aren’t there going to be people living here in 30 years? Is everybody expatriating, and I didn’t get the memo?
Indifference to this failure would actually be a far more positive reaction than the one we have at this point, i.e., a Department of Education that is defunding public schools and the programs that previously supported it, thus taking the current crisis and injecting it with steroids.
Let’s say that we have no concerns for environmental ruin, our flailing democracy, rising rates of destitution, growing levels of hate-crime, and all the rest. Are we really OK with widespread ignorance and the loss of productivity that will inevitably come as a result?
The only thing that makes any sense is that a certain political party stands to gain by crippling education; the greater the level of ignorance, the more obedience this party’s adherents demonstrate in the voting booth. You don’t suppose this is ….being….done….purposefully?

For a start you could could do something personally to help!
You could stop spreading constant partisan disinformation.
You know perfectly well the US The federal government plays only a very small part in funding or controlling US education (4-8%).
Education is largely the responsibility of the States. If you believe education in the State of California is being neglected, then you should be active in criticizing the Democrat Governor and Democrat legislators to do more for education.
Why not? Because ranting on against the Federal administration is far easier than objectively criticizing your own.
Even then, you are either simply delusional, or being deliberately disingenuous. For the first time in decades, rates of destitution are actually falling with greater levels of employment. “hate-crime’ is more publicized but dropping drastically. (Saturday night lynchings seem to have fallen out of fashion).
US productivity is the highest since 1969!
What is “on purpose” is your constant invention of negative social and economic conditions which for partisan propaganda reasons you want to be real.
As for “failing democracy” . Democracy is doing just fine in the US, despite the shenanigans of the Democrats.
Even the bizarre notion of 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden, claiming he has “residual privilege” to justify his refusal to testify at the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.
Biden said he would not testify even if subpoenaed, adding it would create a “diversion” and lead to the media covering him and letting Trump “get away.” !
One of the ‘conditions’ Nancy Pelosi has demanded before sending the bill of impeachment to the Senate, is Bidan won’t be forced to testify.
Where in the US Constitution does it say the House of Representatives shall decide how the Senate conducts business?
These are the last desperate throws of a deeply corrupt Washington elite to cling to power and avoid judgment by the People.
The hypocrisy of the left was dealt a withering blow in the recent UK general election,as their rank were decimated by the anger of the electorate.
The same will occur in 2020 as the American people react to all the duplicitous behavior of the democrats, Washington elite and leftist media.
But democracy, will survive, It will survive because apart from some media hysteria, there is no real threat!
