Yes, Some Women Proudly Voted for Trump

Sure wish I had a dollar for every time my wife has expressed these precise words.  It’s a thought that she and Barbara Bush share with the majority of American women, not to mention the vast majority of women around the globe.

The answer, as far as I can tell, is that female Trump supporters have strong values concerning white supremacy, xenophobia, military aggression, cruelty to immigrants, and punishing the poor.  In fact, these values are so strong that they far outweigh any umbrage that these women might take at Trump as a p***y-grabbing sexual abuser.

    Craig,

Each time when I think you have plumbed the depths of unintentional irony, and reached the nadir of absurd stereotyping and abusive hateful remarks, you surprise me with a misogynistic comment like:

“female Trump supporters have strong values concerning white supremacy, xenophobia, military aggression, cruelty to immigrants, and punishing the poor. In fact, these values are so strong that they far outweigh any umbrage that these women might take at Trump as a p***y-grabbing sexual abuser”.

It takes real talent to deliberately insult millions of women, whom you have never met or know, while slyly slipping in an oft repeated lie!

During an illegally taped private conversation in 2005, long before contemplating becoming President, Donald trump reflected about the morals and conduct of a type of Hollywood female.

His account was crude but accurate, as many entertainers from film stars to rock musicians would verify. The conduct he describes is centuries old and not particularly remarkable in that sort of world.

    His observation,

“when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. … Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything”.

…is hardly shocking or unusual. The lie that has been gleefully knowingly repeated by his enemies, is the implication that his words implied either a lack of consent or is sexual abuse.

Read in it’s correct context, it’s clear neither is implied of actually uttered! The whole point of the his boast is some women are so attracted to fame and celebrity status that they actively pursue such attention and enjoy the experience.

Donald Trump did not say “all women”, his observations were restricted to a certain type of women.

The important part left out by his critics is the phrase “they let you do it”. The whole point of the story is Trump is amazed at encountering such women.

All celebrities could relate to such behavior. Once the cascade of posturing hypocrisy and faux outrage from the newly politically correct died away, the issue died.

The real issue of the tape being illegally obtained (and that is a criminal offense) was also forgotten.

Back in 2005, Trumps remarks at least had the vitrue of being accurate, truthful and said in private intended for an audience of one other perrson..

Fifteen years later, your far more misogynistic observation doesn’t even contain those merits!

Let’s take one very vocal female Trump Supporter. The lady in question is African-American (hardly a white supremacist!), a community leader and heading a world wide charity (some much for Xenophobia1) has risen from an impoverished background( so much for punishing the poor).

She is married to a migrant t6o the US (so much for “cruelty to migrants) She belongs to a faith that doesn’t join the military (so mush for that slur).

She is typical of many millions of Trump supporters. She is not a hypocrite, doesn’t care about being faux outraged or politically correct.

She isn’t self loathing or superscribe to the leftist ‘Blame America First’ mantra.

But, she is angry at leftist lies and deceit. She is angry at the New York Times who last week, the published an editorial declaring the imminent extinction of Republican women at multiple levels of government, was the fault of Donald Trump, concluding “the future for Republican women in politics looks very bleak indeed.”

It’s easy to write this sort of misogynist nonsense off as more NYT hypocrisy, but Republican women are tired of being overlooked and underestimated by the leftist media.

They are and are stepping up to do something about it. GOP women are far from dissuaded from running for office.

170 Republican women have are expected to run for the U.S. House of Representatives. That’s more than 2 ½ times the 67 candidates who were running at this point in the 2018 cycle.

In Texas the number of female Republicans running for Congress has more than doubled since 2018.
Like you, the NYT owes these women an apology, but like you the NYT doesn’t apologize unless sued.

C’mon Craig, I know it’s hard, but for once, do a good thing and apologize. (you’ll feel better afterwards).
