Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Your Food

I’ve known Jigar Shah for about ten years now; in 2015 he was good enough to write a testimonial that I used on the back cover of my book “Bullish on Renewable Energy: 14 Reasons that Clean Energy Investors Can’t Lose.” (See below.)

I’ve stayed in touch with Jigar over the years, largely on Facebook, and I continue to be grateful for his presence.  Here’s a report he forwarded called You want to reduce the carbon footprint of your food? Focus on what you eat, not whether your food is local.

Fascinating stuff, though I would much rather buy produce at the local farmer’s market than Trader Joe’s, where the same vegetables that grow right here in town are flown in from places like Argentina and Spain.
