Hotter, Drier Summers Having Strange and Terrible Effects

Scientists will be discovering new effects of global warming, most of them harmful, for an indefinite period of time into the future.

My wife, devotee of Thoroughbred breeding and racing, came across this just now, pertaining to reproductive health of broodmares, and the fact that there is an increase in still births and foal deaths, always a heart-breaking phenomenon.

From the article:

(Veterinary scientist) Dr. David Horohov also identified an association between climatic conditions and the subsequent occurrence of these conditions. A hot, dry summer and early fall seem to be predisposing factors, but we don’t know why. What concerns me is that the last major outbreak was in 2011, then 2016-17, and here we are again in 2020. The timeline is shortening, and we seem to think that it is associated with hotter summers, and one thing that everyone is predicting is we may see hotter, dryer summers going forward.

Well, sorry to correct such an eminent scientist, but not everyone is predicting hotter, dryer summers, to wit the Republican Party here in the U.S., the only political party in the 200+ countries on Earth that denies climate science.
