Toyota Green Energy

Here’s an announcement from Toyota.  It’s in Spanish, so my translation may not be perfect, but roughly:  A new company will be formed under the Toyota umbrella, Toyota Green Energy, whose goal is to fashion a society in which people, automobiles, and nature live in harmony.  Toyota plans to reduce the environmental impact of its cars and trucks to as close to zero as possible, and, at the same time, participate in activities that contribute to environmental and social improvements.  It is hoped that clean energy will reduce CO2 emissions of its plants and other installations thus contributing to the realization of a low-carbon future. 

Toyota says that as a show of good faith, it will no longer manufacture and sell gas guzzlers like the Tundra.  Just kidding.  I just made that up.
