Inspiration in a Time of Sadness

Walking the dog with my wife this morning, I confessed to her that I’m a bit sad–“just sad for the world, I guess.”

Indian author Suzanna Arundhati Roy sure doesn’t see it that way, and what a bold voice of inspiration she is. Best known for her novel The God of Small Things, which won the Man Booker Prize for Fiction in 1997, she is also a political activist involved in human rights and environmental causes.

Check this out.  English isn’t even her native tongue, though I sure wish I had her level of command of the language.
