Trump: Doctors Profit from Over-Reporting COVID

How much is too much?  When does it end?

Rhetorical questions, to be sure.  But here’s a real one: Given that the support of Trump from physicians is now essentially zero, how many constituencies are left? 

The president of the American College of Physicians characterized Trump’s comments as “a reprehensible attack on physicians’ ethics and professionalism.”  Moreover, the CDC reported last week that the official Covid-19 death count (229,200 as of Friday afternoon) “might actually underestimate the total impact of the pandemic on mortality,” as an estimated 299,028 more persons than expected have died since January 26, 2020.

It’s possible that Trump has abandoned the entire medical community already, as a) doctors don’t approve of anti-science fools and pathological liars, and b) anyone whose career centers around healing (or education, or anything else that helps the common American) has long since decided to remove Trump from office as soon as possible.
