Attempt To Overthrow American Democracy

A short (< 1 min.) excerpt of a speech given by Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy is embedded in this article in today’s Washington Post.

He’s right; currently we are experiencing the most serious attempt to overthrow American democracy in our country’s history.

But who are these Republicans who think this is a good idea?  Who wants to live in a country governed by mob rule?

FWIW, this is how I respond to those who want to see Trump assassinated or deposed by the military: I don’t want to live in a country like that, and factually, neither do you.  You’re saying that you have the option of choosing a finite period of time with Trump in office, or an indefinite, perhaps permanent suspension of rule of law–and you’d choose the latter?  If you think about this you will realize that the answer is no.
