Kiss The Ground

The Sierra Club makes the point that most documentaries on climate change leave their audiences with a sense of hopelessness, whether by design or by accident. And indeed, the problem is large and growing, and human civilization, fragmented as it is, has not proven that it has the capacity to come together so as to create and implement solutions.

Yet here’s what this august group says about its film: Kiss The Ground:
Friends, there is always hope, even in tough times. We are excited to announce that our little film about saving our soil to save our planet has won 25 AWARDS (and counting)! Honestly, we are so honored and humbled by these accolades, but…

…we are also so very grateful for the expressions of encouragement, love and unity from everyone around the world who have seen it and shared it. Some have learned something new, others have been re-inspired to continue their pursuits, and others still have told us they have taken their first actions:
“This movie needs to reach everyone and it shouldn’t stop there…You can feel and see the passion and motivation…makes you want to do the same and take charge because this is in our hands.”
I’m looking forward to checking it out.
