We’re Not Too Pleased with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

Mad Magazine, a humor rag for young people, was published from 1952 until 2018, though its popularity hit its high-water mark in the mid-1970s, and was essentially unknown past 1990.  The meme here is a play on the theme, which featured the fictional, gap-toothed nerd named Alfred E. Neumann, known for saying, “What, me worry?”

Here we have Florida’s Ron DeSantis lampooned for his unique blend of ignorance, incompetence, and heartlessness in dealing with the pandemic on behalf of its 21 million suffering residents.  Florida continues to hold the lead in new COVID-19 diagnoses, and the governor steadfastly refuses to take measures to bring it under control.

Understandably, his popularity is falling like a rock, as the nation’s anger grows more intense with each passing day.
