America Is Far Sicker Than Ever Before

From Bertrand Russell:
“America is sick and her sickness endangers the whole world. Given America’s immense power and resources, a cure must be found within. The first thing that is needed is an education teaching that hate must be avoided, that excellence does not consist in violence. To achieve this change of outlook is an immense task which America’s “Radicals” must attempt to carry out. Whether the necessary heroism will be forthcoming, I do not know. We can only hope that it may be so.”
Russell wrote this mid-Century, before the  s*** really hit the fan here, in terms of national insanity.  It’s hard to imagine what he’d say about a country that elected a criminal sociopath, and that now, 500 days after his departure, still counts on him to guide his political party, which he does with great relish, with an array of racism, promotion of violence, lies, fraud, and treason.
Sir, if you thought it was bad in post-WW2 America, you would not be able to believe it now.
