Pulitzer Board Rejects Trump’s Demand To Yank Prizes From Washington Post And New York Times

From this piece on Trump’s acrimony re: mainstream reporting:

The board that administers Pulitzer Prizes denied former President Trump’s request to revoke the prizes that the Washington Post and the New York Times won in 2018 for their reports on the Trump campaign and his administration’s ties to Russian interference in the presidential election.

Trump has challenged the awards in the last three years, calling the reports “no more than a politically motivated farce” and claiming that the newspapers falsely reported on a “non-existent link between the Kremlin and the Trump Campaign.”

My advice: your best course at this point is beating a lengthy prison sentence, by whatever means possible.  Maybe that calls for using your wealth and whatever dwindling political power you still enjoy in the U.S.  Maybe it means leaving the country before the indictments come down.

I wouldn’t concern myself too much with the people who have been reporting the news in the United States since the mid-19th Century; they’ve  had their media apparatus in place for more than 150 years.  The Pulitzer Prize is 105 years old, and last time I checked, the organization doesn’t take direction from criminal conmen.

Again, think like this: Prison. Bad place to be.  Concentrate on staying out.
