The same problem during the summer vacation is the traffic jams for kilometers.
The possibility of turning on the air conditioning in an electric car would not be available only for a short period of time. Your batteries would die in an instant!
Of course, no politician or journalist talks about it, but this will happen.

What’s far more disturbing is that this came from someone with no training in anything even closely related to the subject matter who thought that, he, magically, or maybe due to his own brilliance, had discovered something that the world of business and science had somehow overlooked. Who else would have had the nerve to ask of an industry that’s transforming our world, “Has anyone ever thought of this?”
It’s possible that our civilization is about to go down in flames. But it won’t be because some fool just thought of something that the best scientific minds have somehow overlooked.
