  1. Gary Anthony Tulie says:

The idea that The USA is the leading scientific country in the world needs to be taken with a huge pinch of salt! The USA is very fond of assuming that it leads in everything when a dispassionate independent view would show that it does not. True, the USA as a nation has the largest national economy on the planet, it leads the developed world in violent deaths per 100,000 per year, and most likely in poor and homeless people per hundred thousand but it does not even come close to being the country with the highest human development index, the best education system, the healthiest population, the longest lifespan of its citizens etc. In fact it even falls behind some developing nations like Sri Lanka, Algeria, Albania and Costa Rica in average lifespan – with its citizens living on average more than 6 years less than Canada which culturally has perhaps the greatest similarity to the USA

I just love people like Mr. Tulie — who offer no factual proof to back up his “undeclared opinions” made here.

And what has “lifespan” got to do with the topic.

Finally — what is it going to take: for you to see that every time you lump everyone together in a one of your blanket statements concerning the US — you totally destroy your credibility, for both yourself and your statement.

Some of us are not stupid.
