Trump’s Presidency: Which Way, USA?

Here are a few of my predictions:
• The deeper the Mueller investigation goes and the more desperate and out of control the president becomes accordingly, he will continue to lose popular support, which means that he’ll soon also lose congressional support, as the GOP senators and representatives, though they clearly have no moral backbone whatsoever, are not going down with the ship.
• Mueller will never publish a “final report.” At this point, one thing is leading to another at such a pace that the legal case against Trump will be airtight long before the investigation could possibly be complete.
• There will no impeachment proceedings until the case against Trump is completely clear to the common American, and only the truly mentally and ethically incompetent can continue to support the president. There are unfortunately a few Democrats who don’t get this, but they’re overshadowed by the reason, patriotism and decency of the vast majority.
• Insofar as there are, indeed, plenty of the “truly mentally and ethically incompetent,” there will be some level of violence associated with removing Trump from office. This is unavoidable, but, again, consider rule of law and ask yourself how long a few thousand gun nuts and evangelicals will last against 1.3 million members of law enforcement equipped with SWAT gear, assisted as required by 1.1 million members of the U.S. military with war-grade weaponry. Fifteen minutes?
• Trump is not Nixon. He’s far less intelligent, though far more delusional about his capacity to deal with the tsunami of legal attacks against his team, his family, his businesses, his foundation, and most importantly, himself. This is a nasty combination, to be sure. And yes, Trump’s team was chosen not for its competence but its loyalty. But again, how far does loyalty extend of reasonably intelligent people who understand the law and can see that the president is in the process of getting buried with legal attacks? Now, can a sitting president be indicted? No one knows. But does an ex-president have any conceivable protection? Not in a million years.
My advice to anyone reading this: stay informed, stay active in voicing your opinions, and stay safe when it hits the fan. Watch history unfold. You’re about to witness a spectacle not remotely like any other in U.S. history.

Craig,
Can you never tire of masking these endless dramatic, fanciful and alarmist predictions?
After two years, the President is more secure and gaining not losing popularity. In contrast, here you are, still bleating on with the same refrain a two years ago.
There is no “legal case against Trump”, “airtight” or otherwise. The American people have completely lost faith in the Mueller Inquiry which now even you admit has obviously nothing to do with “Russian Collusion” but a merely a partisan political attack on a sitting President.
The will be no existing fantasy about a “level of violence associated with removing Trump from office”. Firstly because it will not happen, and secondly, the President would obey the law.
It would appear the odious porn star and her creepy lawyer are having problems raising the $400,000 worth of damage awarded against them. Her sleazy lawyer may have his own problems with the DoJ over soliciting false testimony against Justice Kavanaugh.
Oh, and while we’re discussing people in trouble it would appear former FBI Director James Cohis aumey (and his bad case of amnesia) along with his associates would appear to be losing friends and supporters as the authorities close in on his conduct.
When even hard core “anti-Trumpers’ like the Washington Post’s Marc Thiessen start deserting Comey and coterie, something is deeply amiss.
After nearly two years and approximately $30 million, the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller of allegations of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign to make Donald Trump President is still no closer to any conclusion, and even Democrat supporter are beginning to believe Mueller is on a crusade against the President.
When even the most virulent of anti-Trump media outlets, CNN concludes in an artice by Matthew Whitaker that;
” investigating Donald Trump’s finances or his family’s finances falls completely outside of the realm of his 2016 campaign and allegations that the campaign coordinated with the Russian government or anyone else. That goes beyond the scope of the appointment of the special counsel”.
” The State of New York seems to have overstepped the boundary between fair prosecution and using state authority to harass or persecute political opponents.”
Whne even the rabid NYT and New Yorker begin to become alarmed at the long term damage done by anti-Trump fanatics, surely even you must begin to regain a sense of proportion ?
