Concept in Ocean Wave Energy
Here’s a concept in ocean wave energy that is explained in a short video. Here’s the problem these guys are going to run into: they share a widely held misunderstanding that water in waves moves in the direction of the wave. In actuality, the energy in the wave moves forward, but the water itself moves in a circle.
In ocean waves water doesn’t flow but wave moves forward, but when wave interact with shallow sea bed, it’s behavior changes, it’s wave motion starts getting disturbed. When ocean wave interact with slope, depending on slope angle wave break into surge, plunging or spill type. That time water flows linearly which has kinetic energy. This energy can be harvested.
