One wonders what might be the results of an entire population’s living in a country where facts have ceased to matter, and where everyone is forced to breathe the exhaust of the leader of the free world who tells, on average, 7.6 baldfaced lies every day.

Question: The aircraft we come in contact with on a day-to-day basis flies in the troposphere, i.e., under about 50,000 feet. Are there aircraft that function in the layer above that, i.e., the stratosphere? If so, how are they powered and what is their function?

I haven’t written much on the lithium air battery chemistry, but it’s an extremely important development insofar as it has a potential gravimetric energy density of over 40 MJ/Kg, which is comparable to gasoline.
