Why are visionaries like  Tony Robbins investing in space tourism?

A reader notes: The climate crisis is here, no matter what the paid shills at Fox say.

Fox News is a force to be reckoned with, to be sure.  I feel sorry for folks who feel they have “lost their parents” to this source of constant disinformation.

And, of course, I’m just as angry as you that ruining the planet for profit, whether you’re an active participant in Big Oil or simply a consumer of the utter crap that comes from their pawns in the media.

It’s weird that Robert De Niro is getting so much pushback on his anti-Trump comments. Don’t people know that he’s simply saying what the majority of Americans believe in their very hearts?

These proponents of sodium-ion batteries ask, Is living off the grid the new norm?
The answer to this question is no.
Obviously if you’re one of the tiny fraction of 1% of the world’s population who lives in a house like the one shown here, you have no choice, but you do have some interesting options in terms of renewables.  With all that water around you, wave power, tidal, and ocean current may work very well, in addition to, of course, wind and solar.
FWIW, sodium-ion batteries have been around for 50 years, but lost out to lithium.  Some people say that they’re coming back.

Nobody’s saying you can’t process avocado pits into a replacement for plastic to be used in single-use cutlery, whose market size was $10.58 billion in 2022, and building at 4.8% CAGR.

But I would be stunned to learn that this can be done cost-effectively and at scale, even if you co-locate the plants with the largest guacamole facilities on Earth, most of which are in Mexico.

When you read this statement by Jill Biden, don’t you wonder about choice words at the end?  “Chaos?”

To be sure, chaos isn’t a good thing, but it’s the very best thing you can say about Trump’s effect on our country and the rest of the world.

Why be so cautious?  You’re talking about a common criminal who tried to overthrow the U.S. government.  As I mentioned in another post, Trump’s niece isn’t mincing words in her descriptions of her uncle.

Guesstimate as to Americans’ reactions to Mary Trump’s statement here:

50% agree completely.

5% agree generally, but regard this as something of an exaggeration.  After all, he’s a genius at communicating to hateful morons, and, so far, manipulating the U.S. justice system to his favor.

10% agree generally, but have been convinced, somehow, that Biden is worse.

35% disagree completely, they think he was sent by God, that he’ll seal the southern border, cut taxes, ban abortion, cut off aid to Ukraine, etc.

Those unfamiliar with the 1994 Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction can skip this post.

For everybody else, the flick was so popular in its day that many readers will recognize the photo here, in which the character Winston Wolf, played by Harvey Keitel, is called in to deal with a very messy situation.

The public adoration of Pulp Fiction was so great that, in my day, I would often meet a new client, and introduce myself as follows: I’m Craig Shields.  I solve problems.
