Hmmmm.

Anything that can be done to apply pressure to the purveyors of anti-science, especially when it’s this dangerous, should receive the support of every decent human being.

Does this counter the notion of a huge victory for the GOP in November’s midterms? Is it a harbinger of a return to some level of sanity in U.S. politics?
Trump’s dominance in the party is either going to maintain its strength, or it’s going to collapse altogether. As soon as a few more congresspeople in red states start to defect, an avalanche will follow–one that will leave Trump powerless, alone, and perhaps even more vulnerable to criminal prosecution than he is now.
This will create a stage on which Trump’s erstwhile supporters in Congress will need to answer to voters: Why did you stand behind this criminal conman?
Ouch. That’s a tough question.

Well, it’s likely that there are many factors, but let’s admit that an impoverished and vanishing middle class is not conducive to happiness.
The last 40 years has systematically moved wealth to the top 1%, at the expense of everybody else. Do American voters care about this? We’ll learn more in November.

Doesn’t the banning of books scare the hell out of anyone who might have read Fahrenheit 451 or 1984?
If left to its own, the censoring of ideas dashes our hopes for a free and sustainable civilization.

This type of pressure is the only mechanism that can possibly motivate those who reject science to comply with what it means to be a member of civilized society during a pandemic. Let’s do what the U.S. military has done to protect its 1.3 million active duty personnel: remove those who refuse to be a part of fighting a life-threatening situation.

If you’re wondering why there is massive resistance to vaccinations, climate change mitigation, etc., look no further.

What a joke. I guess this hateful, ignorant BS works in KY. Try taking it to a state that isn’t in the bottom five in education/literacy, healthcare, and income.
