We know we need to keep a cheery demeanor during this pandemic. There is enough cynicism and hopeless without manufacturing more of it.

But regardless of the landslide by which Trump loses in November, there will be many millions of people, like those pictured above, who will believe Trump when he screams that the election was rigged and that he was removed by the deep state, or some other mysterious force for which there is no evidence.
This is why a very long period of time will be required to restore any level of sanity to this country–if it can be done at all.

It’s time to face the fact that the United States has descended into the darkness of one of the most cruel and vile nations on Earth.

What will happen before our president leaves office? Well, the current plan is to kick 20 million people off healthcare by asking the Supreme Court to overturn Obamacare. If your goal is inflicting suffering, this is a particularly strong idea, as we’re in the middle of a pandemic (that could have been largely mitigated). Who needs healthcare when a record-setting 40,000 new cases of COVID-19 were reported yesterday alone?
