We’re living through a period of time that will either strengthen or destroy the rule of law we have enjoyed for 244 years here in the United States.

The president and his henchmen are doing everything in their power to demolish the Justice Department and the system of checks and balances our fore-fathers fought and died to put into place here in the years that followed the Declaration of Independence.  (more…)

For those who want to see a timeline of biblical and world history together, here’s The Amazing Bible Timeline with World History.

I mention this subject infrequently, as I don’t want to disparage anyone’s religion, but I occasionally want to point out that people who believe that the Earth, the heavens, and humankind were put here at the same time, a bit more than 6000 years ago, carry a huge and unnecessary burden. (more…)

Here’s an article that offers the perspectives of 25 people who voted for Trump in 2016 but subsequently withdrew that support–each for a different reason. The only commonality was that each had reached a “breaking point.”

That’s a good thing, because it was starting to appear that these people really couldn’t arrive at a place where something Trump did pushed them across a line.

Worth a look.

What are we to infer from this graph?  Given that it displays two vastly different outcomes, there must be at least one dramatic difference between the subject groups and the way they were treated over this period of time.

Both are part of the developed world, have essentially the same genetic make-up and access to healthcare.  Neither has a vaccine. (more…)

It is suggested that this will come in at about $30K and offer a 200-mile range.

Here’s what I told the guy who took back my diesel Jetta due to the emissions scandal, and suggested a new, gas-powered model: “There are people who willingly deal with criminal organizations like yours. They’re called “criminals.” I wouldn’t take one of your cars if you gave it to me.”

I’ve cooled off a bit since then, but I’ll never buy another car from them.

Just a reusable rocket booster, that lands on a tiny little barge named: “Yes, I Still Love You,” 300 miles out into the Atlantic.  This one’s been reused five times…

This is one of the things that is causing climate deniers to question the bs they’ve been told. They’re thinking, “Ya know, these guys can send a rocket ship into space, then bring it back and land it on something the size of a trash can lid. Maybe I ought to go with science when 10,000 of these guys with ‘PhD’ after their names tell me that human activity is raising the planet’s temperature.”

For a long time after Trump leaves office, historians will be arguing about the proximate cause of the steep decline in his approval ratings.  After all, he has survived hundreds of scandals and embarrassments, so what changed in early/mid-2020?

For my money, it’s statements like that of General McCaffrey here.  He joins in with perhaps 7 – 8 other top military leaders in pointing out that Trump is an active danger to everyone and everything in the country. (more…)

Let’s take a break from the normal banter on environmentalism and the politics that tries so desperately to impede its progress, and turn to 2GreenEnergy and where it’s “headquartered,” which is in a rural part of Santa Barbara County, about 30 minutes from the city itself.

There is a reason we don’t have a zoo in our little town (Santa Ynez), and that’s because we all have our own.  The pic above was taken last night by a neighbor.  That wild boar probably weighs 300 pounds, and is potentially quite dangerous, though the piggy-backing raccoon does not appear to be too afraid. The opossum looking on from the background seems to be enjoying himself too.

OK, back to Hillary’s emails…..

2GreenEnergy supporter Cameron Atwood writes: Hi, my friend. Seen this?  Why Tesla Is Surging While Ford And GM Struggle (NASDAQ:TSLA).

Summary:

 • Tesla surges while legacy manufacturers are struggling to transform.

 • Mindset is critical, Tesla has it while Ford and GM are in survival mode. (more…)

Here’s a good piece of news: San Francisco police won’t respond to calls that don’t involve crime.

Calls to 911 are sorted by the person taking the call.   Crimes are met by police, armed with guns and handcuffs.  Everything else: mental health, the homeless, school discipline and neighbor disputes, is met by a team of people, armed with blue jeans and training in de-escalating tense situations.
