I spent most of my voting life in defiance or non-comprehension of the message here.
That, of course, was before Donald Trump arrived on the political landscape and it was instantaneously obvious the horrific danger he represented.
I have a feeling that there will be very few votes for third-party candidates in November, for precisely this reason.
Using small pieces of solar PV to run low-power devices is a good idea. Adding what could be called “nano-wind” (i.e., wind turbines even smaller than “micro-wind”) isn’t. All this does is add expense–both capital and operational.
Here’s a video that reveals an interesting fact: that breaking the law and thumbing our noses at the police have now become admirable acts in our nation. Not sure this is a positive development in a civilized society, though it sure does explain how the U.S. has become one of two out of more than 200 sovereign nations that has failed so miserably to contain COVID-19. I wish I knew what’s motivating the president’s behavior at this point. OK, his core base is largely racist, and yes, they’re energized by hate speech, augmented, as it is, with the lies that comes with it. But you have their vote wrapped up. Aren’t you going to need at least a few votes from other demographics? How about semi-educated conservatives who have taken the bait about socialism and think that Joe Biden and Fidel Castro have the same political philosophies? (more…)
