Though I wasn’t an Eagles fan, I certainly was upset to hear about the passing of Glenn Frey earlier this week.

When my daughter was about eight, I set her on my lap, played this song for her, and asked her to read the lyrics with me. At the end, I told her: “You’re a part of me, I’m a part of you, and that will be so forever.” Thanks Glenn, for making that moment possible.
