Qualifications for a Career in the Trump Administration Include an Extremely Nuanced Command of the Language

syria-child-wheelc_2852196bWhat’s the English word or phrase we use to describe an Israeli sniper shooting and killing (or shooting for the femur so as to permanently maim–see photo) a child throwing rocks?  If you said, “Israel defending its border,” you have a future in the U.S. State Department.  On the other hand, if you call it “murder” or a “war crime,” or “a blatant violation of international law,” you join me as some sort of subversive.

OK, presuming you flunked the first time around, here’s a chance to redeem yourself:

What do you call the U.S. president’s surprise decision to rescind the sanctions the Department of Commerce had meted out on Chinese electronics maker ZTE, virtually simultaneous to the announcement that Chinese state enterprises will provide $500 million in loans to a development project in Indonesia that will include Trump-branded hotels, residences and golf courses? The project stands to funnel millions of dollars into the Trump Organization, the president’s private business.

If you said, “Coincidence,” you’re two for two.  But if you said, “sure looks like corruption,” or “a clear violation of the emoluments clause of the U.S. Constitution,” you join me once more in finding yourself grossly unqualified to work for this traitorous government.

Congratulations.

    Hi Craig,

    Just taking some time out from attacking goats and redecorating my under bridge condo, it’s your favourite Troll armed with his grammar book of Saxon genitives, here to ask you a sincere question;

I’ve noticed (as have others) your change in attitude in the last 18 months.

Prior to the 2016 election you seemed very focused on Clean Energy technology and genuinely interested in promoting debate, discussion and different viewpoints and methods concerning combating all kinds of pollution.

Back then you were capable of accepting critique, acknowledging errors, while learning from a wide range of contributors, some of whom provided fascinating insights along with technical knowledge concerning clean tech developments.

    My question is,..What happened ?

Today, after reviewing the comments section of the last 100 articles you posted I counted only one or two comments by Glenn (usually in response to a comment from me), otherwise there were no contributors.

Once, not so long ago, the comments section was abuzz with debate. Alive with the comments of many contributors. The comments section would often collect more than 50 comments from the 2Green Alert community.

Today, alas, even you disdain form taking part. Interest seems to have waned. You seem to have lost enthusiasm, posting instead simple repeats of the administration’s more rabid critics, and propaganda from the corporate Wind Industry.

    Again, what happened ?

The election of President Trump seems to have obsessed you. Does it really matter if the US government sector has adopted a less enthusiastic environmental agenda ?

The private sector is still highly motivated to develop clean technology. The main difference is new emerging technologies will have to be practical and economically justified. No more ‘grand schemes’ needing perpetual funding from taxpayers.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy your rants against the administration, but it appears I’m the only one 🙂 I used to admire your passion (even when misinformed and misplaced) but lately it seems not so much enthusiasm and passion, as resentment and bitter invective as you jealously cling to the agenda of a fading era.

Maybe I wrong. (I hope so) Maybe you are just a little lost as the dawn breaks on a new era and the dreams of yesteryear fade.

So I ask again, (in total sincerity) won’t you take a new path, join your voice with ours and continue to seek new clean tech solutions (even if not perfect) ?

I beseech you to forget your confused and forlorn ‘crusade’, forget who lives in the White House. ( The pendulum always swings back) Won’t you rejoin us in investigating all new clean tech, no matter how imperfect of weird and wonderful ? 🙂

There’s a lot happening in “Green Investment”, that you are missing, it’s a very exciting time.

C’mon by my new Troll booth anytime. Equipped with wind, solar, processed swamp gas and recyclable hot air from Congress, the bridge operates efficiently, cheaply and with very low emissions. (offset by culling the odd ruminant!) The goats don’t seem to notice if one of their number disappears every so often, probably because the bridge is painted such a lovely shade of green.

Kumbaya ! (come by here )…..
