The World Is Still Blessed with Lots of Heroes

He calls them “heroes.” So do I.

    Craig,

What’s happened to you ? Maudlin nostalgic eulogizing about American TV personalities who represented an unrealistic American dream, while obsessing with outrage about the supposed iniquities of the current President and the real world of 2018.

That’s not to say Fred McFeely Rogers wasn’t a genuinely nice man, but how is he relevant to the problems of today ?

You want hero’s / What about Elon Musk or Robert Niven. Robert Niven is more worthy of your admiration in today’s world.

Robert Niven MSc is the founder and CEO of CarbonCure Technologies Inc.

CarbonCure Technologies Inc provides technology to existing and planned concrete plants allowing producers to sequester carbon dioxide into concrete products.

The technology recycles waste carbon dioxide (CO2) to make a range of concrete products. Waste CO2 from industrial emitters or atmosphere is added to the concrete during production and chemically converted into a limestone-like mineral.

CarbonCure’s technology reduces greenhouse gas emissions, lowers material costs and improves concrete quality ( a real win-win-win solution . CarbonCure’s licensed technology is currently installed in nearly 100 concrete plants across North America to meet the sustainability objectives of hundreds of building projects.

With domestic and international venture investment, the 2007 Canadian start-up has received numerous awards, including the 2016 Manning Award, listed among the Cleantech Group Top 100 Cleantech companies for the last three years, and is a finalist in the $20M Carbon XPRIZE. The Global CO2 Initiative has ranked CarbonCure as the most scalable solution within the new $400B and 1.4 billion tonne CO2 Utilization industry for the concrete sector.

This new industry of carbon utilization is expected to become a $1 trillion industry, and reduce global greenhouse gases by more than 15%, by the year 2030.

Robert Niven is a young man whose quiet, pragmatic engineering solutions and entrepreneurship will have a global positive impact on the lives of every person on the planet.

I don’t know about you, but to me Robert Niven is hero !
