    Craig,

I’ve heard and many similar schemes and miraculous devices. In every instance they turned out to be useless scams, although ECO-Gen’s claims are far more complex and well credentialed.

Of course quoting prestigious organizations like “Lloyds Insurance” sounds great but is really meaningless, since just because Lloyd’s issued a policy, doesn’t mean they authenticate the product actually works!

Likewise. Certification from the highly reputable Underwriters Laboratories (UL LLC), only means the product complies with safety regulations, not whether the product lives up to it’s claims.

What worries me, (apart from the obvious) is Eco-Gen has no units installed in independent locations, where independent owners of the system could verify the technology.

Yet the very professional press releases and reputable individuals involved would seem to indicate some real science, funding and administration behind the claims.

Despite my team of experts concurring with your perfectly sensible assessment, I will still try to find time to visit the advertised, Fully operational Version 1 Joule Box® ECO-GEN System in Southern California, and take them up on their offer to provide a comprehensive demonstration.

Details about the corporation are also a little sketchy, and it appears those Nobel Laureates and hundred of top scientists beavering away, don’t seem to exist.(although, I’d be pleased to be corrected).

The company President is listed as one Mr Raoul Hamilton. He also runs a ‘property management company and insurance general agency” before that Raoul worked in his his family owned restaurant, Fat Burgers. ECO-GEN claims to receive preferred consideration on all government contracts due to Mr Hamilton’s extensive democrat political connections. Mr Hamilton claims these connections have proved invaluable in getting approvals for ECO-GEN and funding.

The company lists itself as having 10 employees, including directors.

The Company secretary, managing director, general manager,COO and treasurer, Julia Otey liss her business credentials as previously editing cook books for celebrity chef and restaurateur, Wolfgang Puck.

Paul B. Delanoe, is listed as Executive Vice President, Director and CTO, Mr Delanoe responsible for all the design and technology.

he list’s his qualifications as “Inventor”. In this capacity, he and his ‘team’, invented the JouleBox® Hybrid Generator, JouleBox and Star Motor. This inventions and the IP is owned by the Bellagio Trust and licenced to ECO-Gen Energy Inc.

The corporation list an issued capital of 30,000,000 $ 0.01 No Par Value Shares. (Private company).

The company has been in existence for 9 years, and claims a revenue of $1.5 million per year.

Eco-Gen Energy claims to have retained Dr Woodrow W. Clark II MA, PhD of Clark Strategic Partners to serve on a “board of Advisors.

Dr. Clark was one of the contributing scientists to the work of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UNIPCC) and was Senior Advisor on Renewable Energy, Emerging Technologies, and Finance to California Governor Gray Davis from 2000-2003.

Before that from 1999-2000, he was a Visiting Professor of Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship at Aalborg University, Denmark, where he was a Fulbright Fellow in 1994. Dr. Clark was the Manager of Strategic Planning for Technology Transfer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) for the University of California and U.S. Department of Energy, during the 1990s.

In 1980, he founded a mass media company in San Francisco, CA, Clark Communications, specializing in the production and distribution of documentary and educational films focused on “social issues” such as “sexual harassment”, “health issues” and older workers along with other topics including books from dramatic current events.

Dr. Clark earned three masters degrees from different universities in Illinois and his Ph.D. at University of California, Berkeley.

While he is a genuine academic, he doesn’t list himself as an advisor or affiliate of Eco-Gen Energy, but Clark Strategic Partners seem to have some tenuous connection.

Likewise, Dr. William A Burke of Los Angeles, former Chairman of the California Air Quality Board, California Coastal Commission, president of both the Fish and Game Commission and the Wildlife Conservation Board, the American Health Care Delivery Corporation etc.

Dr. Burke earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Massachusetts, and two other Honorary Doctorate Degrees of Law from Lane College and Mount Ida College.

His association with Eco-Gen is equally tenuous agreeing only review some material which never eventuated.

If Eco-Gen Energy is a just an elaborate scam, (and it certainly looks that way) it’s a very long running and incredibly elaborate one!

Of course it’s possible, it could be another delusional enterprise (like Better Place) where the participants are all just delusional ?

  2. Why would someone put so much effort into running a scam like this? I don’t understand why people are fueled by greed. Why can’t we be like Sweden and use the money for the greater good?
