I can only speak for myself, but this happens to me all the time. I’ll read something that appears perfectly plausible given our current times, only to note that it came from The Onion.

Recently, we reported that U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry (pictured) made an unsuccessful attempt to bail out the failing coal industry. His grand idea was to pass legislation that would subsidize energy sources that are physically located near the plants that consume them (read: coal), claiming that this was required to guarantee grid stability and reliability. Here’s an amusing claim: “New design on 250кw turbine (shown here) we are installing in Rep. Of Georgia.”
No you’re not.
Power is proportional to swept area. The device has approximately the same profile as the side of a car, as shown in this video. You’d need wind blowing at about 225 MPH to generate 250 KW.

Question: Burger King now offers the plant-based Impossible Burger, and, according to the cashiers in the one closest to “2GreenEnergy headquarters,” it’s outselling everything else on the menu. How many BK outlets would you guess there are?
In response, one supposes, McDonald’s “PLT” (plant-based BLT, gotta love it) will be available in select restaurants soon. Accoring to the company, it’s “made with a juicy, plant-based patty made with Beyond Meat® and served on a sesame seed bun with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, mayo-style sauce, ketchup, mustard, and a slice of processed (was that needed?) cheddar cheese.” Total outlets?
