perry-hugging-massey2-1It appears that Rick Perry will be stepping down as U.S. Secretary of Energy, perhaps related to his being swept up in the Ukrainian outrage.  In all fairness, Perry has had a fairly scandal-free tenure at the DoE, though his allegiance to the fossil fuel industry and his total lack of qualifications for the position in the first place will not stand him in good stead when it comes to history’s evaluation of his term in office. header-elec-fr-e1525701811705When I joined EV World as their VP Marketing in 2008, it was “common wisdom” that we were one hell of a long way from electrifying large vehicles like buses, cargo ships and Class 8 trucks.  Good news: as presented here, that’s no longer the case.  (more…)

1048px-Hacker-Pschorr_Oktoberfest_GirlHere are four countries that offer a novel array of different incentives to electric vehicles owners.

My favorite: Austria hochsgeschwindichkeit (speed limit).  On smoggy days, gas- and diesel powered cars are limited to 100 KPM (62 MPH), where their EV counterparts may zip along at 130 (81 MPH).  Vienna waits for you.

As a conservative, she is understandably perturbed by my anti-Trump position, and she asked if it wouldn’t be prudent for me to remain quiet and not rush to judgement while the evidence against him, if there is any, is gathered and analyzed. UntitledLet’s suppose that next 50 years produces no unpredictable Earth-shattering events. Let’s speculate that the world of 2070, given what we see today re: environmental decay/climate change, the trend towards fascism, the threat of nuclear war, and all the rest doesn’t render our world a fundamentally different place than what we’re experiencing today.  What will life be like?
