01Iceland-master768An article in GreenTech Media this morning asks why most of the countries in Southeast Asia are lagging behind the rest of the world in the deployment of renewable energy.  I skipped it.  The developing world doesn’t have the cash (by definition) and most of those governments are even more corrupt than the U.S.; they pay even less attention to the welfare of their people than the U.S. Congress pays to Americans’, and that’s saying a lot. Clean-Air-ActIn my post Understanding EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, I pointed out that, unlike his predecessor, Gina McCarthy, Pruitt is extremely secretive in his activities. I went on to use Occam’s Razor to explain this phenomenon: Pruitt’s job is to provide favorable conditions for corporate polluters, especially the oil companies, by aggressively despoiling the environment…..and thus we hate his guts. I went on to suggest that Pruitt is in the top five most hated people in the country. (more…)
