Experts Weigh In On Trump’s Energy PoliciesThough I’ve been scolded quite a bit for expressing my fears about the environmental impacts of Donald Trump’s presidency, I’m certainly not the only one who dreads what’s very likely about to come.  (more…)

Optimism Re: The Ultimate Result of the "Human Experiment"Here’s a conversation I’m having with 2GreenEnergy super-supporter Cameron Atwood that I thought I’d share. I began by responding to an email he wrote pointing out certain atrocities that are happening in the world, and implying how important it is that we fight against things like them.

Craig: I have to say how impressed I am with you and your capacity to stay Interested and involved.  I’m starting to catch myself looking at this in the way of Garrison Keillor. Did you see his article in the Washington Post(more…)

Suggestions for Promoting Renewable Energy

2GreenEnergy support-supporter Gary Tulie, of Buckinghamshire, England (see pic–Turville, Buckinghamshire, England) has these suggestions for moving clean energy along under the Trump administration:

Ask this question – what pro renewables policy might appeal to climate change denying republicans?

I would suggest that removing unnecessary bureaucracy and regulation whilst eliminating current incentives might be appealing to such a mindset!  US capital costs for solar are still close to twice those in Europe and Australia. Why? Because of administrative and regulatory burdens not found in lower cost markets. (more…)
