This is certainly the way I see it.

Putin did very well at destroying the United States while Trump was in office.  Now he needs a new tactic.

That seems to be making life tough for the Democrats, so as to, asap, reinstall the team that demolishes American education, democracy, and world-standing.

We’d all like to see this change.

And actually, it could happen, not through government, but by donations from the multi-billionaires.

Here are some sad words from Diana L. Six, a forest entomologist and professor at the University of Montana. Her research focuses primarily on bark beetle ecology and forest adaptation to climate change.

Her issue:  she’s gone from studying life to studying death. (more…)

I’m not sure I would call this a “major loss,” in that there was no doubt from the very beginning that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine constituted not one but several different war crimes. How this will play out vis-a-vis international justice actions, of course, is anyone’s guess.

Btw, the Court cannot impose the death penalty.  Civilized nations everywhere long ago decided that hanging and the other forms of execution have no place in our world.

Here’s a motor of the BMW’s 10-cylinder M5; compare to photo of Tesla’s below.

When EVs first came on the scene, many people believed that the sheer simplicity of the concept, and the extremely high efficiency that it gave birth to, would be the motivating force behind the transition from internal combustion engines. (more…)

It pains me to see America reduced to this level of stupidity.  Of course, you’re free to voice your opinion on any subject at any time.  If that opinion shows that you’re an ignorant and hateful human being, you need to expect rebuke from the rest of us.

It’s really no more complicated than that.

From Wikipedia:

State Sponsors of Terrorism” is a designation applied by the United States Department of State to countries which the Department alleges to have “repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism“.  Inclusion on the list imposes strict unilateral sanctions. The State Department is required to maintain the list under section 1754(c) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019, section 40 of the Arms Export Control Act, and section 620A of the Foreign Assistance Act.  As of 2021, the list consists of CubaIranNorth Korea and Syria

Precisely what recognizing Russia as a member of this group of bastards will accomplish is anyone’s guess, given the long and growing list of sanctions that is already in place.  Having said that, it seems like a natural thing to do, considering that these war crimes will soon come to rival anything that’s happened on this planet since the Holocaust and the Turkish genocide of the Armenians more that a century ago.

No.  Well, maybe in the privacy of his garage with the door closed, but certainly not in public.

These people got swindled in the most epic proportion, and it’s extremely painful to admit that a clever criminal took you to the cleaners.

What will happen is a slow cessation of conversation on the topic of Trump.  Of course, the conman will not take kindly to being cast out of the limelight, so let’s expect some amazing histrionics when he’s on the way out.

We’re a very long way from having this pathetic chapter in U.S. history fully behind us.  The unfolding of criminal indictments over the coming years will, each one, constitute international news, so the fireworks are not even close to being over.

This doesn’t surprise me.

Trump was afraid of being poisoned too.

I guess when you’re one of the most hated people on Earth, that goes with the territory.

Millions of Trump supporters were attending “America First” rallies just a few short months ago, pledging their indifference to the well-being of those living outside the United States.  But how do these tragedies facing the people of Ukraine, e.g., the bombing of maternity hospitals and apartment buildings, affect their thinking?

The answer is that many of these people quickly realized that they had been talked out of their basic goodness.  It didn’t take more than a couple of days of Russian bombardment of maternity hospitals and apartment buildings before virtually all of these kind and decent Americans figured out that  being “woke” actually means being compassionate, and immediately began to beg our leaders, “Why can’t we be doing more?”

Good people cry tears of pain for others, and tears of gladness for peace and justice.
